Mande MWC-1 Cold Plunge Tub — 1 Person

Single-person cold plunge tub from Mande Spa USA. Fiberglass insert with ThermoWood® cladding, metal bands, thermo leather lid, stairs, and a 1" drain valve pre-installed. Arrives fully assembled — unpack, lift the stairs out of the tub, fill with a garden hose.

A chiller is not included. Without one the tub holds cold water but does not cool it — tap water sits around 50–70°F depending on the season, and adding ice brings it to roughly 45–55°F. With a chiller it holds 45–59°F consistently, which is what we recommend.

Choosing a chiller. The MWC-1 is not tied to one chiller model — most compatible cold plunge chillers can be connected. For reference, the unit Mande pairs with the MWC-1 in Europe delivers 17,000 BTU/h (5 kW) in moderate conditions, chills to 36°F, runs at approximately 9.5 GPM through 1.25"–1.5" barbed fittings, and is rated for water volumes up to about 530 gallons — comfortably more than this tub needs. That European unit is 220–240V / 50Hz, so a U.S. chiller must be specified to U.S. electrical standards; match the performance, not the voltage. A bypass connection is recommended. Talk to us before you buy and we will confirm the pairing and the fittings.

Water care. Without filtration, change the water every 3–5 days. With filtration, every 4–8 weeks. If you run a chiller, filtration is required — without it the heat exchanger can clog and the unit can be damaged.

Freezing weather. Drain the tub completely during any freezing period. Ice will crack the fiberglass insert.
